For corporate L&D, HR & compliance

Mandatory training that keeps its own deadlines

No more spreadsheets, manual chasing and pre-audit stress. In classroom.now you assign training to entire departments in minutes, the platform takes care of reminders and escalations — and every step is backed by an immutable audit trail exportable to CSV.

Assigning training

The whole company assigned in three steps

Pick the courses, pick the people, set the deadlines. Departments expand to every active member, and several courses go out at once — say GDPR and fire safety in a single batch.

  • Choose by org structure: the whole company, a department, a team or individuals.
  • Recurrence rules — next year's round assigns itself.
  • Enrollments are created automatically and deduplicated: nobody gets the same training twice.
  • Deadline extensions and waivers with a mandatory reason — both audited.

Escalations

The platform does the chasing, not you

The default escalation ladder: a notification 30 days before the deadline, a reminder at 14, the manager alerted at 7, and HR escalation on deadline day. Levels and channels are configurable for your organization and per training category.

  • Every escalation event is recorded — including delivery status.
  • Compliance notifications override quiet hours and cannot be fully switched off.
  • One-click manual reminders — rate-limited and without disturbing the escalation schedule.

Audit & reporting

When the audit comes, the proof is ready

Every significant action lands in an immutable audit log — who, when, in which role, from which IP address, with before-and-after state. Query it by actor, action, entity, time or full text.

  • Audit-trail exports to CSV and JSON run asynchronously — the download link arrives the moment they're ready.
  • Compliance reports to CSV, XLSX or a formatted PDF for regulatory submission.
  • A dedicated auditor role: read-only and deliberately AI-free.
  • Certificates verify via a public link, and retention supports multi-year compliance regimes.

Team visibility

Completion, skill gaps and recommended courses on one screen

The compliance dashboard shows completed, in-progress, overdue and escalated assignments, per-category breakdowns and a 30-day trend — for a team, a department or the whole organization. Managers see whose deadline is coming up and send a reminder in one click.

  • Skill profiles build automatically from completed courses.
  • Gap analysis: pick target skills and instantly see who on the team is missing them — and which published courses close the gap.
  • Privacy is built in: managers see progress and compliance, never test answers, AI conversations or personal notes.

Training requests

Approvals without the email ping-pong

An employee requests a course with a justification and the request routes to their org-unit manager. Approval creates the enrollment on the spot; denial requires a reason — and the manager can ask for more information first.

  • Your rules apply: open self-enrollment or manager approval.
  • Approval means automatic enrollment — no manual participant setup.
  • Requests show the course's indicative cost, so decisions are informed.

Calendar & notifications

Sessions land straight in Outlook

Session invitations go out as real Outlook and Teams meetings — including the meeting room booked as a resource and the join link. Reschedule or cancel, and the invitation updates itself.

  • A personal iCal feed (.ics) for Outlook or Google — with a secret link you can rotate at any time.
  • A notification center with categories and priorities; in-app, email and push channels per preference, quiet hours included.
  • Targeted announcements to user lists, org units or a specific session's participants.

Identity & separation

Corporate sign-in and a portal that's yours alone

Your organization gets its own branded portal — your logo, your colors, even your own domain — and its data is hard-scoped away from every other organization. Inside, you work with an org-unit hierarchy: departments and teams drive who gets assigned what and who sees which dashboards.

  • Sign-in is handled by Keycloak — the application never touches passwords.
  • SSO via Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace is coming.
  • Personal and corporate identities link together, with an organization switcher for multi-org users.
  • You manage your portal's branding and settings yourself; escalation rules and assessment policies tune per your organization and per training category.

Public catalog

Pick new training courses straight from the catalog

When an internal course isn't enough, the public classroom.now catalog carries training providers' offerings: browse without signing in, compare providers and inquire about a course with a single form.

Online ordering & payments: coming

  • Filter by category, skills, language and difficulty.
  • Reviews only from real graduates — only a verified course completion can post one.
  • Verified providers with a badge; every public listing passes platform moderation.
  • In-catalog purchasing is coming — today we connect you with the provider directly.

A day with classroom.now

What a Tuesday looks like for an L&D specialist

A new regulation

You assign the updated GDPR training to the whole company in three steps. Enrollments create themselves and deduplicate against existing ones.

Two requests to approve

The justification sits right on the request. Approval enrolls the participants on the spot — and once the course's session is scheduled, the invitation lands in their Outlook.

Escalations run themselves

Colleagues 14 days from their deadline got a reminder, and two overdue cases escalated to HR. You just check the dashboard.

The audit pack

You export the compliance report to PDF and the audit trail to CSV. The download link arrives as a notification — and you head home.

FAQ

What companies ask most often

How do we prove to an auditor that training actually happened?

Every significant action — assignment, reminder, waiver, completion — lands in an immutable audit log with the actor, role, IP address and before-and-after state. Export it to CSV or JSON, and compliance reports to PDF for regulatory submission. Auditors can also get their own read-only role, deliberately AI-free, and any certificate's validity verifies via a public link.

Will managers see how employees answered in assessments?

No. Managers see their team's progress, compliance status and last activity — but never specific assessment answers, AI assistant conversations, terminal activity or personal notes. Employee privacy is built into the data model, not just a setting.

Does it fit our Outlook and Teams?

Yes. Session invitations go out as native Outlook and Teams meetings — including the room booked as a resource and the join link — and they update themselves on reschedule or cancellation. Every user also gets a personal iCal feed (.ics) to add to any calendar.

Can we sign in with our corporate account?

Sign-in is handled by Keycloak, so the application never touches passwords. Single sign-on via Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace is coming. Personal and corporate identities can be linked, and users who belong to several organizations switch between them within one account.

What if someone misses a training deadline?

By then the escalation ladder has done its utmost — and recorded everything, including each reminder's delivery status. You can then send a manual reminder, extend the deadline, or grant a waiver with a mandatory reason. Each of those steps lands in the audit trail, and the dashboard clearly highlights escalated cases.
